Privacy Policy
Summary
BrowserNote is a desktop and mobile application. It stores your data on your own devices. BrowserNote does not operate a server that receives, stores, or sells your personal data.
Data BrowserNote stores
- Notes, bookmarks, browsing history, and settings that you create in the app.
- Sign-in tokens for accounts that you connect, such as a Google account.
- Mail, calendar, and contact data that the app downloads from accounts you connect.
This data stays on your device. If you turn on sync through a service that you choose (for example, iCloud), that service carries the data between your devices under its own privacy policy.
Google user data
When you connect a Google account, BrowserNote asks only for the access that the features you use need, for example reading and sending Gmail messages or reading your Google Calendar. BrowserNote uses this data only to show it to you and to perform the actions you request inside the app.
- Google data goes directly between your device and Google. It does not pass through or get stored on any BrowserNote server.
- BrowserNote does not sell Google data, use it for advertising, or transfer it to third parties.
- BrowserNote does not use Google data to train artificial intelligence or machine learning models.
- No person reads your Google data, unless you give explicit permission for a specific message (for example, to fix a bug you report), or the law requires it.
BrowserNote's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Remove access and delete data
You can disconnect a Google account in BrowserNote's settings. This deletes the account's tokens and downloaded data from the device. You can also remove BrowserNote's access at any time on your Google Account permissions page. To delete all BrowserNote data, delete the app.
Analytics and tracking
BrowserNote contains no analytics, advertising, or tracking code. This website sets no cookies.
Children
BrowserNote is not directed at children under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version appears on this page with a new effective date.
